Kalo Megh — 'dark cloud' — is a black cotton shawl edged with a wide Kantha border in gold, yellow and green, like lightning along the hem of a monsoon sky. Cotton keeps it light enough for Bengal winters and evening travel, and the layered Kantha stitching adds gentle warmth. Worn by men and women alike.
