About this piece
Agomoni is the season of homecoming before Durga Puja, when Bengal fills with colour. This peach Gachi Tussar saree carries that mood in its pallu — geometric panels and triangle borders pieced together in coral, mustard and green like a festive quilt. Warm, joyful and very Bengali.

Why handmade Kantha costs what it does
A Kantha saree is not printed or machine-embroidered. Every motif is drawn by hand, pinned onto the fabric, and then filled with thousands of tiny running stitches by women artisans working at home in their villages. A saree like this usually takes 3 to 4 months of patient work, which is why each one is slightly different and why no two are ever the same.
Care
Dry clean only. Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, and refold now and then so the creases do not set. Keep away from perfume and direct sunlight.
