Sagor means sea. On this teal Gachi Tussar saree a large golden mandala opens across the pallu like light on water, built ring by ring in Kantha stitch. Fine buttis keep the body graceful. A statement saree for receptions and festive evenings.

Why handmade Kantha costs what it does
A Kantha saree is not printed or machine-embroidered. Every motif is drawn by hand, pinned onto the fabric, and then filled with thousands of tiny running stitches by women artisans working at home in their villages. A saree like this usually takes 3 to 4 months of patient work, which is why each one is slightly different and why no two are ever the same.

Dry clean only. Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, and refold now and then so the creases do not set. Keep away from perfume and direct sunlight.
