About this piece
Midnight Bloom is one of our most-loved designs: red and white Kantha flowers blooming across a deep black base. Masuma Khatun draws and pins the design herself before her artisans stitch it. Choose your fabric — pure silk, pure cotton or Gachi Tussar — and we make it for you, with a blouse piece.

Why handmade Kantha costs what it does
A Kantha saree is not printed or machine-embroidered. Every motif is drawn by hand, pinned onto the fabric, and then filled with thousands of tiny running stitches by women artisans working at home in their villages. A saree like this usually takes 3 to 4 months of patient work, which is why each one is slightly different and why no two are ever the same.
Care
Dry clean only. Store folded in a soft cotton or muslin cloth, and refold now and then so the creases do not set. Keep away from perfume and direct sunlight.
